The Study Of The Knowledge Transfer Procedure Model In Hotel Entrusted Management

In recent years, the hotel market has been greatly impacted by the economy and policy. competition in the industry become more fierce, hotel and catering revenue, room occupancy rate both decreased significantly. Hotels operating income generally showed a downward trend. In this situation, many hotels choose to cooperate with the international hotel management group, through the mode of entrusted management to absorb knowledge, conducting knowledge transfer, so as to enhance their market competitiveness. However, at present the entrusted management mode’s role of transfer knowledge didn’t work well, how to make full use of entrusted management modes to absorb advanced foreign hotel management group management knowledge and improve the knowledge transfer efficiency as well as entrusted management success rate is now need to be solved. Thus, this essay use this problem as breakthrough point to examine the specific process of hotels entrust management knowledge transfer procedure, and its influence factors. in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the high star hotels entrusted management knowledge transfer mechanism.This study selects the case of Changsha Sheraton Hotel as the research object, using the case study method. At first, based on the literature research and exploratory interviews, to understand the basic situation of the knowledge transfer in the model of hotels entrusted management; And then build a theoretical framework and summarize the specific research issues; Then use preliminary theoretical framework as guidance to conduct the case study of Changsha Sheraton Hotel; At the end through the result of case study to revise the previous theoretical framework.The results of this research are as follows:(1) The model of knowledge transfer in entrusted hotel management follow the four stage model: the start, the implementation, Ramp-up and adjustment, each stage contain different specific steps, the whole process of the transfer of knowledge form a closed-loop.(2) The factors that affect knowledge transfer procedure can be divided into four category: they are the characteristics of the knowledge transfer sender, characteristics of the knowledge transfer receiver, knowledge transfer situation factors, characteristics of the knowledge characteristics of the four major categories of factors. Finally, based on the conclusions of this study, this paper puts forward some management suggestions to improve the knowledge transfer efficiency under the hotel entrusted management model.
