With the gradual recovery of the global economy, the world economic integration process further speed up, coupled with the rapid development of Internet technology, global market economy environment is more complex. In such an uncertain economic environment, enterprise want to maintain a steady pace of development is hard enough, to excel to occupy the market leading position is even more difficult. So in order to develop and grow, and quickly adapt to the change of the market, many enterprises are on the way to strategic transformation to achieve a new competitive advantage. United Technologies Corporation, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises, its development is not going smoothly. After the subprime crisis, the impact of the company top facing the revitalization of the company, to bring high returns for shareholders, and so on a series of pressure, united technologies company decides to conduct a strategic transformation to adapt to the development of the market environment.This paper is the study of United Technologies Corporation strategic transformation, it’s divided into five chapters, the first chapter is introduction, mainly introduced the thesis research background, purpose and meaning. The second chapter is a theoretical review, reviews the relevant theoretical knowledge. The third chapter first gives a brief introduction of the United Technologies Corporation, then analysis the internal and external environment, finally using SWOT tools to analyze the company’s own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and established a new goal and direction for the company. The fourth chapter is mainly to the transformation of United Technologies Corporation present strategy implementation process analysis, and evaluate its transformation is given. The last chapter is a whole summary of this paper. The paper is based on the analysis of United Technologies Corporation new strategic transformation which started from 2008. Through the new strategic transformation analysis, summarized the characteristics and achievements in the process of transformation, and then given some suggestions to the transformation of United Technologies Corporation in the implementation process that can be improved, in order to implementing strategic transformation in the domestic manufacturing enterprises in China to provide some help and inspiration.
