Research Of Industrial Colony And The Growth Of Economies In Inner Mongolia

With the market competition has reformed from enterprise development to industrial development, Industrial cluster has already become the new development strategy to strengthen regional competitiveness rapidly. As a western minority areas, Inner Mongolia’s Industry Cluster is still in primary stage.It has much catching up to do in development scale and level and has not yet formed strong competitiveness. However, Inner Mongolia’s Industry Cluster has its unique advantages such as natural resources, favorable policies, leading industries support and brand effect etc. In order to further enhance competitiveness, We need to build and develop industrial cluster. Then we can achieve the long-term and sustainable economy development which has great significance for Inner Mongolia.We first reviewed the domestic and foreign scholars" study theory of the industrial cluster and economic growth. On the basis of Predecessors’research we found out, Industry cluster can promote economic growth in five aspects as division of labor and productivity, regional core, cost control, innovation driven and regional brand. In order to have a profound understanding between industrial cluster and economic growth, We selected six superiority industrial cluster in Inner Mongolia and worked out the various spatial agglomeration level of each industrial cluster. We evaluate the competitiveness of different industrial cluster from the space distribution, brand effect, key cluster, location quotient, etc.Finally, we selected the energy industry as a typical case because it has a high degree of industrial concentration and strong competitiveness. By building the evaluation index system of industrial cluster of energy industry, we set up linear logarithmic regression model and error correction model for empirical analysis. The result proved that the energy industry industrial cluster level has a significant positive correlation relationship with economic growth in Inner Mongolia. It demonstrates the hypothesis that industrial cluster can promote economic growth. Our following countermeasures and suggestions are guiding Local governments should guiding industry cluster, transform developing mode and creating regional brand.
