The Reseach On Strategic Choice Of Yongzhou City Developing Processing Trade

In the early days of reform and openning in China,Chinese eastern aera begained to develop processing trade by takinge advantage of favorable location and policies. Processing trade has becomed an important part of Chinese economy over the past thirty years, and makes up half of all foreign trade for a long time. Our experience indicates that processing trade aids economic growth, technical advance and employment enlargment. With the development of economy and the improvement of cost, in combination with our country’s policy which promotes processing trade to transfer from eastern aera to central and western aera, processing trade shifs to central and western aera is inevitable. Especially after the financial crisis in 2008, the pace of transfer has been quickened. Abundant labor, natural resources and other advantages of Yongzhou City are not fully used by the processing trade, its processing trade has been in a backward state since 1999. In this context, if Yongzhou seize the opportunity of processing trade’s transference, it will obtain new Point of economic growth and improve its economy. It is very important to speed up Yongzhou’s industrialization and urbanization, and it can help to promote Yongzhou’s Sustainable and coordinated development.This essay analyzes the situation and characteristics of Yongzhou’s processing trade, affirms that processing trade can drive up Yongzhou’s economic growth. Futhermore, this essay uses SWOT analysis method to make a comprehensive analysis on the development of Yongzhou City’s processing trade. It finds out 4 cross-Portfolio development strategies on the basis of both internal and external factors. At Present, Yongzhou’s processing trade both have apparent strength and significant external threat, and its internal weekness aslo cannot be neglected, so the ST strategy and WT strategy sould be the most suitbale strategies. On the basis of Yongzhou’s condition, by taking ST strategy and WT strategy as key strategies, the essay gives some suggestion about how to develop processing trade for Yongzhou City.
