Research On The Development Of Tourism And Recreational Agriculture In Guangzhou

Tourism and recreational agriculture development has been incorporated into the natio nal development strategy, along with the transformation from traditional agriculture to mod ern agriculture and the trend of new industrialization and urbanization. Tourism and recreati onal agriculture, closely related to urban economy, society, culture, science and technology,is a kind of highly developed urban agriculture that came up during the integration of city a nd countryside. Depending on the investment of capital and science, it is knowledge drive, i ntensification and multipurpose. It not only provides citizen with agricultural products, envi ronment, recreation, tourism, and education, but also is an important source for the farmer’s income and a great solution for the overall development of city and countryside. Tourism a nd recreational agriculture is a strategic choice and objective needs of agricultural develop ment in Guangzhou.In this dissertation, combining theory with practice, using the methods of literature research, field visits, questionnaires etc., starting with theoretical research from home and abroad tourism and recreational agriculture, the author summarized the current situation, priority issue, advantages and disadvantages of tourism and recreational agriculture in Guangzhou. The author researched on Conghua and Zenngcheng district in Guangzhou, came to a conclusion that tourism and recreational agriculture was essential for the development of urban agriculture and gave some suggestions for the future of tourism and recreational agriculture in Zengcheng and Conghua district.
