With the rapid development of the global economy and corporate social responsibility in the booming global, environmental degradation, lack of resources and other issues has cropped up in this context, corporate social responsibility more and more attention. In the Chinese market economy, as a modern economic system core and hub of commercial banks,are responsible for financial services, credit mediation, credit creation, pay intermediary,regulate economic and other functions, it is a powerful mechanism to optimize the allocation of resources. Commercial banks have a special nature management of monetary funds and risks, in an important position of extraordinary lightly. In the event of a banking crisis,commercial banks which often form a "domino effect" through the creation of the credit transmission mechanism, depositors, shareholders, lenders and other stakeholders would suffer serious damage to the interests and impact on the whole economic system in the future, even more there will cause serious financial crisis or recession. Therefore, whether the commercial banks should take the social responsibility is very important to the society and the economy. However, commercial banks are required to pay social responsibility associated costs, which allows us to fulfill their social responsibilities and its relationship between financial performances, particularly the stakeholder perspective of social responsibility to perform the impact on financial performance becomes necessary.From the perspective of stakeholders, this paper combined with the actual situation of China’s commercial banks, commercial banks established the evaluation of social responsibility, and on the basis of the relationship between commercial banks empirical validation of social responsibility and financial performance. This paper reviews the theoretical researches r on social responsibility and financial performance, and explains the definitions of social responsibility and financial performance and summarizes the current situation of China’s commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities, and then discusses the stakeholders perspective on the content of the commercial banks shareholders, depositors,lenders, employees, the state and society of social responsibility, the objective of the scientific and rational evaluation of commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibility to build the evaluation system of social responsibility of commercial banks. This paper selects the dividend payout ratio, interest payments rate, the top ten customers loan ratio, staff cost rates,tax rates and social contribution rate as an explanatory variable measuring social responsibility, return on equity and return on total assets as a measure of financial performance explanatory variables, Through the multiple regression model, the data of 6commercial banks from 2011 to 2014 were analyzed to verify the correlation between the social responsibility and financial performance of commercial banks.Studies have shown that the higher the level of social responsibility of commercial banks, financial performance positively correlated with the presence of more significant; the contrary, the lower the level of social responsibility of commercial banks, financial performance negatively correlated with the presence of the more significant. So commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities not only substantially reduce financial performance,but on the financial performance has a significant role in promoting the development process in the future, thus fulfilling the social responsibility of commercial banks will gradually become a new path to enhance its financial performance.
