Application And Research Of Six Sigma Management In MCD Co Ltd.

As a powerful improvement method, Six Sigma Management has significant effect on increasing customer’s satisfactions, decreasing enterprises’ cost and raising products and service quality. In many enterprises, Six Sigma Management is regarded as a strategic by top managements.In mid 1980 s, the theory of Six Sigma Management was founded by Motorola, Six Sigma Management was used in business activities such as process flow improvement, products quality and services quality improvement, and achieved significant results. Since the 21 st century, more and more industries begin to focus on Six Sigma Management, research and use it. In China, there are also a growing number of enterprises exploring Six Sigma Management, but most of them just remain in exploration. For Chinese enterprises, it is difficult to successful implement Six Sigma Management under their current situations.In this theory, practical application of Six Sigma Management in the enterprise will be discussed and analyzed in the following 4 parts. The 3rd part will show GFI project process and using of Six Sigma Management in MCD Co. Ltd. The 4th part will discuss the reason of the success and give suggestions on promotion of Six Sigma Management.In this theory, author will mainly discuss the application on GFI products improvement project in MCD Co. Ltd, introduce Six Sigma Management process flow from project selection to implement, using of the Six Sigma tools(Pareto diagram, Cause-Effect diagram, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, Hypothesis Testing), finally achieve project goals. For project goals, compared with before and after data, the conclusion is Six Sigma Management can help enterprise to bring cost down, profit growth and competitiveness enhancement.Based on researching the theory of Six Sigma Management, using of Six Sigma on GFI products improvement project in MCD Co. Ltd., analyzing the basis of Six Sigma Management application in modern enterprises, clarifying the method and tools using in Six Sigma DMAIC projects process, this research can be one of the reference for Chinese manufacturing enterprises on implement of Six Sigma Management.
