Trade Basic Analysis Of The Construction Of The BCIM Economic Corridor

The "Belt and Road" strategy is proposed to conform to the world development situation and our country’s own development needs,aimed to stimulate and improve the overall level of economic strength and construction along the nations. We expect to reach a common prosperity and common progress.It has epoch-making significance. The BCIM economic corridor as one of the six economic corridors and the PC economic corridor are pushing ahead.It has the effect of driving and demonstration.The BCIM trade cooperation is an important part of economic corridors, so for the status quo and trade cooperation among the four countries, analyze trends and other factors will provide an important decision basis for the development of economic corridor. This article first introduces the background and meaning and goals and framework of the strategy. The second part introduces the background and the latest progress and existing difficulties of the BCIM economic corridor. Next it focuses on the BCIM trade cooperation,starting with aspects of trade volume, trends, growth rate, industrial layout and do a longitudinal comparison of the four countries trade, and then use the index analysis method to analyse the BCIM respective industrial advantages, trade complementarity and competitiveness.It makes the possibility of countries trade cooperation specific to the industry level. And then uses the trade gravity model to make an empirical analysis.The model obtained some important factors that affect the trade development of the four countries, and use the results of the gravity model predicts the trade development potential. Finally it use the results of the article index and empirical analysis put forward specific policy recommendations that promote the construction of the economic corridor. This paper argues that the next economic corridor construction should pay attention to several aspects,including the construction of infrastructure and communication,political trust,cultural exchanges and vigorously innovative forms of economic and trade cooperation.At the same time the four countries have a great potential for trade cooperation. But it faces great difficulties and still need to be overcomed step by step.In the future,the economic corridor construction process should pay attention to deal with multiple interests, respect and uphold the independence of the countries, active consultations project seeks common prosperity and development of all countries.
