Manufacturing industry is the source of technological innovation and the driving force of a country’s economic growth. Without a strong innovative scientific system and technological manufacturing system, any economy cannot realize long-term prosperity and economic development. After the international financial crisis, developed economies in Europe and America are aware of the importance of the manufacturing industry, and proposing a series of national manufacturing strategies, such as Germany’s "Industry 4.0" strategy, the United States "re-industrialization" strategy, British "high-value manufacturing" strategy and so on. In the background of the international division of labor reshaping, manufacturing industry is once again becoming the strategic high ground of national competitiveness.China’s export manufacturing industry is facing the dual pressures of developed countries attracting high-end manufacturing reflux and emerging economies undertaking the transfer of low-end manufacturing. At present, China’s manufacturing industry is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading. The total manufacturing rose to first in the world, at the same time there have been some important changes. There are several major performances including continued dropped growth rate, significant adjustment in the internal structure, significant growth. We are facing serious challenges, but also face significant development opportunities. Thus, the State Council issued the "China 2025". This is a landmark strategic planning on industrial development in the history of China.Firstly, this paper narrates briefly the export manufacturing competitiveness analysis theory. Secondly, analyzing the status quo of China’s export manufacturing by using several indexes, included the characteristics of the total, characteristics of industry, characteristics of regional and characteristics of structure. By using the revealed comparative advantage index, trade competitiveness index, the international market share of manufactured goods and technical content, we analysis of the competitiveness of China’s exports manufactured goods, and find out China’s export manufacturing industry problems, such as the lack of core technology, low value-added products and overcapacity. And putting forward the corresponding countermeasures for sustained and healthy development of China’s export manufacturing industry, China’s export manufacturing sector is still need to continue to adhering the "go global strategy" strategy to promote industrial upgrading and supply-side structural reforms. We should enhance the independent innovation ability and strengthen brand building to achieve the goal of "industrial power".
