The Status And Influence Factors Of China's Electronic Manufacturing Industry Under The Global Value Chain

At present, China's electronic information manufacturing industry is facing not only calls for internal reform, but also facing the competition from other economies. China's electronic information manufacturing industry now is at a key moment of climbing form the low position of the global value chain to high position of the global value chain.The main purpose of this paper is to study China's electronic information manufacture industry's status under the global value chain and its influencing factors. Firstly, through some of the data we described the current development situation of China's electronic information manufacture industry, such as the scale, speed, needs structural changes, foreign trade structure changes, product structure changes, capital structure changes and regional structure changes. Based on the data from 2000--2014, 35 countries (regions),13 product lines, we calculated the export technical complexity of electronic information manufacturing industry, as the basis for measuring the status of electronic information industry of China and other countries (regions) in the world in the global value chain. Then, on the basis of other scholars' researches, we selected five factors:economic openness, capital investment, labor input, R & D intensity and dependence on foreign capital, proved through empirical analysis of whether these factors effect and what kind of impact these factors brought to China's electronic information industry's status in the global value chain. Finally, based on the previous analysis, combined with the views of other scholars, we made a number of observations and suggestions for how to upgrade China's electronic information industry's status of the Global Value Chain.The results of this study will help us to know the status of China's electronic information industry under the global value chain, also helps to explain the reasons of China's electronic information manufacturing industry's status changes under the global value chain, help to expand the electronic information manufacturing value chain under theoretical research and industry development of other industries, and also provides some referential point of view for the future development of the theory of industrial research global value chain.
