The Research On The Influence Of Manufacturing Servitization On Export Structure Of China:Based On The Global Value Chain

Nowadays an increasing number of countries in the world have access to the global production networks(GPN)inevitably in the context that different country makes a difference in the global value chain(GVC).In order to occupy a favorable position in the global value chain and gain more trade benefits,countries need to continuously improve the added value of their products and improve their market competitiveness.It is needed for China’s manufacturing to deepen the industrial transformation and upgrading.With the data of World Input-Output Table(WIOT),TIVA database and some Statistical Yearbooks may concern,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the participation and position of Chinese manufacturing industry in the global value chain by using the value-added trade accounting method.Then,the input-output method is used to measure and analyze the China’s manufacturing servitization.The super efficiency model of DEA is used to evaluate the servitization efficiency.Based on that,the panel data model is established,in which taking export structure as the dependent variable,manufacturing servitization as the independent variable,RMB exchange rate,the contribution rate of tertiary industry and the proportion of R&D expenditure as the control variables,cluster robust standard deviation with "industry" as the cluster variable is used for fixed effect regression.The results show that:(1)Manufacturing servitization in China is still in a low level relatively as a whole,and there is still a large room for improvement.Further,servitization level of some industries does not match the inputoutput efficiency.(2)According to the empirical results,the level of manufacturing service has a significant positive impact on China’s export structure.That is,the improvement of manufacturing servitization does play a certain role in promoting the optimization of export structure in China.The manufacturing servitization level has a significant positive impact on the export structure both measured by modes of trade and export commodities.(3)Research and Development intensity has a significant positive impact on China’s export structure.The exchange rate has a significant negative impact on China’s export structure measured by modes of trade and has a significant positive impact on China’s export structure measured by export commodities.The contribution rate of the tertiary industry to GDP has a significant positive impact on China’s export structure measured by modes of trade and has a significant negative impact on China’s export structure measured by export commodities.(4)The manufacturing servitization level has a significant positive role in promoting China’s export structure.By which it is conducive to the continuous optimization of China’s export structure,which is conducive to improve China’s position in the global value chain.
