With the continuous deepening of the global knowledge economy, science and technology innovation has become the most important source of enterprises, industries, regions and countries to obtain the core competitiveness. Just as enterprise innovation is the cornerstone of national innovation, employees innovation is also the carrier and the key to enterprise innovation, enterprise innovation activities will eventually be implemented to the specific practice of the staff. However, innovation means to break through the previous products, services and production process, is often accompanied by greater uncertainty and error. Based on the material and spiritual loss caused by innovation’s failure, employees tend to exhibit conformist work behavior, avoiding innovation. Therefore, in the organizational practice, innovation is sometimes not encouraged, but is hindered. Since the fear of errors is hampered by the employee innovation is one of the important reasons, then how to resolve employees concerns, build the good atmosphere of error management, so that they dare to trial and error, innovation?Leaders and employees information exchange, that is, communication between the upper and lower in the organizational human resources practice on the employee’s innovative behavior has a significant moderating effect. Therefore, this research breakthrough previous in the study of the relationship between error management climate and employees innovative behavior only simple inspection restrictions on the individual level and organizational level, introducing bilateral relationship between the level of Leader-member Exchange (LMX) as a starting point, in-depth study of error management climate in what boundary conditions can better stimulate staff awareness of innovation and innovation behavior.This paper is mainly divided into the following steps:Firstly, by reviewing the related literature on error management climate, LMX and innovation behavior variables, clarify the concept, influencing factors and relationships of the research variables. On the basis of literature review, we construct the theoretical hypothesis and conceptual model of this study. Secondly, we refer to the domestic and foreign mature measurement methods, analyze the research variables and design the questionnaire. After the selection of the research objectives, we issue and recycle the questionnaire of this study. The data of the questionnaire were collected and analyzed, and the variables were tested for reliability, validity and correlation analysis. Then the empirical results were obtained by using the hierarchical regression method. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis are summarized, combined with the practice of enterprises situation, put forward effective countermeasures and conclusions, and the deficiencies of this study and future research trends are briefly discussed. This study mainly has the following two findings:1. The error management climate had a positive role in promoting employee’s innovation behavior. Through empirical analysis, the four dimensions of error management, namely the error communication dimension, the error thinking dimension, the error learning dimension and the error ability dimension, all have positive influence on employee’s innovation behavior;2. LMX had a significant moderating effect in the influence of error communication, error thinking, error learning and error ability on employee’s innovation behavior; but in the relationship between error ability dimension and employee’s innovative behavior, LMX’s moderating effect was not significant.This study is divided into six chapters, as follows:The first chapter is the part of introduction. This chapter mainly introduces the research background and the question proposed, the research goal and the significance, and elaborated this article research mentality and the method, finally discussed the possible innovation point.The second chapter is the literature review part. We mainly use the literature research method, following the idea of the concept, dimension construction and domestic and foreign related research, to sort and summarize our research variables (such as error management climate, LMX and individual innovation behavior).The third chapter is the theoretical basis and the research hypothesis. This part is based on the domestic and foreign research and the research of this paper, put forward the corresponding research hypothesis, and then constructed the research model of this paper.The fourth chapter is the research design. This part defines the research object of this paper, combined with the domestic and foreign mature scale to measure the study variables, and then to test the reliability and validity of the scale with the recovery data.The fifth chapter is the empirical analysis. This part firstly to collect data for general descriptive statistics, access to the basic characteristics of the research object, then preliminary correlation test on the study variables. Finally we test the main effect of error management climate and innovation behavior, and then verify LMX’s moderating effect between them.The sixth chapter is the conclusion, suggestion and prospect. This part mainly analyzes the conclusion in this paper, and according to previous research results, has put forward the suggestions. Finally, the deficiencies of this study and future research prospects are discussed.
