Our funeral culture has a long time, profound impact, the formation of burial customs in people’s minds ingrained. People also pay more attention to the funeral, carrying the ancient cemetery to mourn for the dead and remember feelings. It also reflects the placement of the end of life, becomes an integral part of social life. However, some bad habits of traditional funeral affect people’s life and production. Especially in rural areas, farmers pay more attention on their own cemeteries, but the rural burial ground lack of management. With the household responsibility system implement, people have nowhere to bury, so they choose to occupation their cultivated land resources. While at the beginning of 2016, Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of land and other nine departments jointly issued the "Guidance on the implementation of land ecological burial", aim at the implementation of ecological conservation land burial, protect ecological environment. The reform of funeral and use the ecological cemetery is a necessary requirement of society development.Through the data collection, field research, interviews farmers to conduct research five typical counties of Liaoning Province. Count distribution, covering of rural funeral land, analyzing the distribution characteristics of rural funeral land and on a variety of land types in Liaoning Province. Learn local farmer’s satisfaction with the existing rural land burial, for migration graves willing, compensation standards, the use of ecological cemeteries comments and suggestions. Research results show the rural land in Liaoning Province funeral lack of management, distribution is more scatted, their distribution depending on local resources and the environment. Research results show that:(1) The funeral land distribute mainly in the farmland and woodland, about 30.59% percent of arable land. Funeral rural land cover a large area, annual increase of rural funeral the total land area about 164.89 hm2, occupation of cultivated land area of 50.46 hm2, equivalent to about 257 people’s arable land per year. Scattered burial grounds not only have an impact on land use, also damage to the environment. For farmers interviews find the nearly half of farmers aren’t satisfied to the existing funeral land, willing to migrate graves, and using eco-cemetery.(2) Connecting model between the decrease of tombs in farmland and the increase of eco-cemetery in rural land use. Land needs and farmers’wishes are the favorable conditions to burial sites linked to changes in the mechanism. But the traditional burial customs are still the major obstacles to the mechanism. Full use of forest shelterbelts and other class places, strict monitoring of cultivated land, and appropriate amendments to the relevant laws and regulations. Communicate with relevant departments to participate in the reform of funeral, and cerate new land ecological trends.
