Since the reform and opening up, the rapid development of social economy has changed the way of life of the residents in many areas, the results of reform and opening up to hundreds of millions of Chinese people. The Chinese economy in an important period of reform and restructuring of the, especially since the beginning of the new century, the degree of the population aging in our country continues to deepen, the aging of the population in the total population in the proportion gradually increased, which makes our country hasn’t squeeze body developed countries before China has entered the aging society will. The arrival of the age of aging not only increased the burden on the whole economy and society, but also is not conducive to the coordinated development of population and social economy. In our country, the age structure of the population will tend to be aging in the future for a long time. Consumption is not only the engine of economic development, but also the people’s livelihood issues related to the development of social economy. Effect of consumption behavior of residents in much affected by changes in the age structure of the population, the rural residents’consumption structure and consumption behavior and rural population aging has what kind of relationship, become a problem worthy of attention.Through the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS) in the related data for statistical analysis, The conclusions of this study are as follows:First,the personal characteristics of the rural elderly core members of the family health is generally poor, suffering from chronic diseases in elderly people number; and income level, income structure by the impact of the age structure, wage income level low and the proportion of small. Second,the family characteristics of household income is the main source of agricultural income, the low proportion of non agricultural income level. Third,in accordance with the 5 year old age difference found in rural areas over the age of 45 by household survey households belonging to the family group, elderly people belonging to the family in medical consumption level is higher than in younger elderly, and family average medical expenditure, the overall trend is increased with the increase of age; in younger elderly family in tourism consumption, health care and entertainment consumption of average consumption level is higher than that of the elderly; consumption of food, clothing and consumption and other daily life consumption level almost all along with the increase of age decreased. Fourth,analysis of rural elderly household consumption characteristics and changes in the age structure of the population from point of view, according to the current consumption of various types of households of different ages of middle-aged and old family consumption level and comparing with the year of 2008 and 2012 rural elderly family consumption structure changes in the situation to predict rural elderly family in medical and health care, tourism consumption with higher levels of aging and increase consumption trend. Fifth,the policy recommendations according to the conclusions drawn from the analysis and put forward that rural elderly household consumption structure change due to the intensification of aging, but the aging industry development status is not enough to respond to this change, it is bound to have a huge impact on the allocation of resources. Therefore policy recommendations first for the elderly related industrial development proposed guidance; secondly on how to improve pension modes and security were discussed, that family support for the elderly should be combined with social pension; finally, how to improve the supply of public goods in rural areas put forward suggestions and points out the development of aging industry should be supported and encouraged by the policy level.
