In recent years, with the acceleration of the aging process and the Chinese policy emphasis on mutual assistance, mutual assistance,as a supplement to the old-age security system, has attracted much attention from the society. The contradiction between the growing need for old-age care in rural society and the insufficient supply of old-age facilities and services is prominent, and the problem of getting old before getting rich in rural areas is even more prominent.Influenced by the traditional concept of family support in our country and the form of rural pensions, the acquaintance society formed by the elderly through blood, kinship and geographical connections is often considered to be a social support network that plays a huge role in guaranteeing the survival and life of the elderly in rural areas. The concept of promoting traditional Chinese culture is in line with the current institutional environment in our country, and there is a large space for development in new rural communities. The elderly,as the participants of mutual assistance, the providers and beneficiaries of elderly care services, stimulate their willingness to participate is a prerequisite for the development of mutual assistance.Based on this,in the context of rural revitalization and under the support of social support theory, the author uses the questionnaire survey method and semi-structured interview method to analyze the development status of the rural community mutual-aid pension in X Street,Caidian District,Wuhan Cityand explores its pension status, characteristics, willingness of the elderly to participate in mutual assistance for the elderly and its influencing factors. The study found that:(1)Among the personal characteristics indicators, education, physical health, and monthly income all have a significant impact on the willingness to participate in mutual assistance, among which education has a positive correlation with the willingness to participate;Physical health status and monthly income are negatively correlated with willingness to participate.(2)Among the social support indicators, the number of children, the number of friends, the relationship between neighbors, and the number of available channels for financial support in emergencies all have a significant impact on the willingness to participate in mutual assistance, and the relationship between neighbors has a positive correlation with the willingness to participate; The number of children, the number of friends, and the number of available channels for financial support in emergencies have a negative correlation with the willingness to participate, while the frequency of participating in community activities has no significant effect on the willingness of the elderly to participate in mutual support for the elderly.(3)Among the concept indicators, the elderly’s views on the concept of raising children to prevent aging, whether they are willing to accept the care of other elderly people except their own, whether they have heard of mutual support for elderly care, and their perception of loneliness are all significant in their willingness to participate in mutual assistance elderly care.Among them, whether they are willing to accept the care of other elderly people other than their own,and their perception of loneliness are positively correlated with their willingness to participate. On this basis, this article combines the specific practice of X street community, from "expanding the content of community mutual assistance services for the elderly, improving the level of elderly care;increasing support and supporting multi-level elderly care;enhancing the enthusiasm of the elderly, and promoting the concept of hierarchical mutual assistance".In order to better understand and clarify the possibility of the implementation of mutual assistance for the elderly,it also makes a modest contribution to the rural revitalization strategy practice of X Street and the exploration of the development path of urban-rural integration.
