As one of our national pillar industries and labor-intensive industries, the construction industry has played an increasingly important role since the period of reform and opening-up. The process of urbanization speeds up, especially when it comes to new era, which increases the demand for labor in the construction industry. Nowadays the construction industry has become the key industry with absorptive capacity of labors, ranking only second to the manufacturing sector. Those labors engaged in construction hold much lower salary payment levels and benefits compared with other industries, although in recent years the government has increased the workers’ benefits and wage subsidies, which indeed increase the incomes of labors in the construction industry. However, the working hours and the labor intensity are much higher than other industries. They are still in the lower levels of the whole society, which is in serious violation of the labor theory of value. The author of the paper takes the construction sector as the specific industry, takes Shanghai as the research area, and takes the salary payment level of migrant workers as the research object, in order to analyze and research the effect factors of labor salary payment in construction industry of Shanghai. Based on statistics theories and the principles, the author takes SPSS as auxiliary software for research and establishes model according to actual data, to forecast the trend of labor salary payment in construction industry of Shanghai. Finally, the author proposes the countermeasures and recommends promoting the reasonable growth of labor salary payment. The content and outcome of the paper is divided into four main parts with a total of eight chapters, organized as follows:The first part is about the introduction and literature review, including the Chapter I and Chapter II. In the first chapter, the thesis topic, source and purpose and significance of the research are stated, and the research contents and methods are introduced. Technologyroadmap of the paper is drawn and the possible creative points are noted. Chapter II is literature reviews, including the main concepts the definition and rationale involved and the research development and current situation at home and abroad. The second part includes the present situation analysis of the study, including the Chapters III and Chapters IV. The third chapter is about an overview of the development in Shanghai construction. Also, the comparison of pay levels between the urban workers and migrant workers in the construction industry in Shanghai, and the comparison of pay levels between Shanghai construction industry and that from the whole country are also in the third chapter. The reasons contributing to situation is analyzed. In addition, the research for the labor and social protection of migrant workers is taken, as well as measures to be taken actively on migrant workers of the construction industry in Shanghai. In the fourth chapter, the author considers the economic, policy, social development, regional characteristics and other factors, combined with the existing literature review in the field of relative research. The third part consists of empirical analysis including the Chapter V and Chapter VI.In Chapter V, correlation analysis of first two parts and the most related influence factors are been analyzed. Implementation of surveys has been done and questionnaire is recycled to test the reliability and validity. Thus, factor analysis was performed according to different degrees. Key factors influencing the salary payment of construction workforce in Shanghai are identified and analyzed. In Chapter VI, the average salary payment of construction workers in Shanghai is chosen as the research index. For the actual data, the model of the curvilinear regression is forecasted, during which the fittest model of the selected curvilinear regression is chosen as the predictive model, and error analysis for forecasting data using actual data. The fourth part consists of the countermeasure and suggestion and summary of prospects, including the last two chapters. In the seventh chapter, specific measures and recommendations are put forward. The author summarizes the conclusions in the last chapter of paper, and objectively analyses the deficiency in the paper, which will be further supplemented and improved in the future research.
