With the continuous development of economic globalization, the competition for markets and resources, further exacerbated once rely on a lot of high economic growth, high-margin development model and extensive management company, is currently facing a severe test. A company as large domestic power equipment manufacturers in the current complex situation, has grown from just focus on external opportunities, the eyes gradually toward the interior, trying to create a more streamlined and efficient supply chain system to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.A company in order to survive and develop in the complex and rapidly changing market environment, in a short period of time, giving customers high-quality, low-cost products and services, on the basis of the supply chain, each existing sector of the companies should get together, improving the responsiveness and efficiency in order to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises throughout the supply chain. A enterprises are mainly manufacture power generation equipment, the complex structure of these products, the process is difficult, so companies use more batches of small quantities of production, which leads to materials management and procurement processes very complex, and in Beizhong project has made a lot of requirements, which the traditional procurement process is a very big challenge.Based on Beizhong project, we take a comprehensive diagnosis of its internal organization, supply chain management processes, its materials management and procurement processes. Considering Beizhong project’s delivery time is short, complex and demanding material requirements characteristics, to find out the problems in the procurement process and materials management, and then optimize the streamline, to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the project.Therefore, this paper proposes ABC classification of materials, and proposes the project’s design and operation at the same time. That we can save time and ensure accuracy of the list, the traditional procurement process has been optimized for the major materials. We take the major materials into production as soon as possible to shorten the project cycle. In supplier development and management, this paper proposed the establishment of a supplier system, make a good foundation for long-term cooperation.
