| As an important part of the basic industry of transportation, road passenger transport plays an important role in the development of national economy. Since the reform and open policy at 1979, China’s road transport industry has made great progress. Specifically the overall carrying capacity has greatly increased and the service level has significantly improved. However, because of rapid development, some potential risks exist in this industry. With the improvement of the national economy, the people’s demands for road passenger transportation gradually become more diversified, more high-speed and more human-oriented. In this regard, this paper studies the development trend of road passenger transportation industry in China.Firstly, this paper described the development of road passenger transport industry in China and summarized the characteristics of it. Meanwhile, the current scale of this industry was introduced and the development problems of road passenger transport were pointed out. Secondly, this paper concluded the granting mode of Road Passenger Transport Management Right of our country, and mainly analyzed "the transfer of the franchise" mode and "corporate management" mode after giving the management right. The advantage and disadvantage for road transport passenger industry of our country as well as opportunities and threats which it is faced with were analyzed though the SWOT analysis, and the industry strategies under different combination were also given. Finally, this paper did the demand analysis for road transport passenger industry, and the developing trend and new direction of China’s road passenger transportation industry were put forward. |
