After 34 years of development, private higher education has now become an important part of Chinese higher education. Since the "Private Education Promotion Law" enacted and implemented in 2003, private higher education in Sichuan Province has developed rapidly. By 2015, the number of private college students accounted for 33% of that in colleges and universities in entire Sichuan, constituting an indispensable part of Sichuan’s higher education.Land is the foundation of the survival and development of private colleges and universities. For private colleges and universities, the price of land varies with the ways of obtaining it. Due to various reasons, at present there exist different kinds of problems in the aspect of private educational land. If these issues cannot be properly solved, they will affect the survival and development of private colleges. In addition, relevant government departments in Sichuan Province have currently introduced more policies which are conducive to the development of private universities, such as land-related preferential policies. All these policies are beneficial to the development and standardization of private colleges and universities. What we need to think about is how to implement these policies, thus letting private colleges get a real development boost from the existing policies.In this paper, the author takes the land issue of private T College handled in Chengdu High-tech Zone as the case, and analyzes its causes, processes, results and influence from a relatively small pointcut. This paper is divided into the following main parts: The first part states the background, and analyzes the research significance of educational land issues of private universities. Through consolidation and analysis of data collected during the study, the second part clarifies concepts related to educational land of private colleges, and elaborates correlative theories. The third part makes a detailed illustration of the causes, processes and results of the land issues of private T college. Around the dispose of land issues of private T College in Chengdu High-tech Zone, in the fourth part, three chapters are used to explain it from different angles. The fifth part includes the enlightenment brought by the case and the author’s own policy recommendations. The sixth part summarizes the case and puts forward shortcomings and expectations of research.
