Housing Demand And Policy Response Research Of New Generation Peasant-worker In Zhengzhou City

Since the reform and opening up, peasant-worker working for urban construction and development is an indispensable force in the urbanization process in China. They has made great contributions, but most of them can not be effectively guaranteed housing demand and the housing situation is worrying.With the accelerating of urbanization and the inter-generational replacement in peasant-worker, the new generation of peasant-worker has gradually become the main part.Compared to the previous generation of peasant-worker,they have strong willingness to settle in the city, they have relatively high level of education and the prominent ability to accept new things. How to solve the housing needs of the new force in city is the key-factor to ensure the steady development of urban construction and economic continuous improvement.The thesis is divided into six parts. The first part contains the research background and significance, domestic and foreign research review, research ideas and concepts. It pointed out the unfocused and blue direction problem in the existing policy. It also provided certain research space and selection path. The second part is mainly about the questionnaire and investigations of new generation peasant-worker in Zhengzhou. This part summarized the sample characteristics and housing situation of the new generation peasant-worker. The third part starts from the new generation of peasant-worker’s features of housing needs. It summarized the subjective expectations and housing needs from two levels which contain the features and the internal differences. In the fourth part, by using the survey data, the paper build the system of new generation peasant-worker for housing demand evaluation. By combining the path analysis, it has worked out the factor of the impact of the new generation of peasant-worker’s housing needs in Zhengzhou. Chapter V is the section of the policy response part. Through the status and demand characteristics and demand factors in the first three chapters, it summed up the specific problems and difficulties faced by peasant-worker in Zhengzhou. This part also found a way to solve the problem from three terms, the near-term, medium-term and long-term for the policy. The last part of the article discusses the research findings, deficiencies and research prospects.
