Study On The Development And Countermeasures Of Guangxi Rice Industry Based On The Cost-benefits And Scale Advantages

Based on rice industry development in Guangxi and other provinces comparison, this paper analyzed the current development situation, including indicators of acreage, total output, yield per unit area and rice output value, and trend of rice industry in Guangxi regions. Based on the intensive and highly optimized production performance characteristics of modern agriculture development, this paper focuses on the establishment of Guangxi rice industry development advantages of scale model and economic efficiency comparative model. This paper also analyzed the spatial aggregation evolution trend of Guangxi rice industry development, and summed up the development law and problems of Guangxi rice industry.The study found that rice industry efficiency advantages of Guangxi is at a disadvantage, and that yield per unit area is at a low level. In terms of costs and benefits, rising labor costs and material costs become a major driving force in Guangxi Indica rice total costs and the improvement of productivity still rely mainly on the increase of factors of production inputs. Early indica rice is of poor efficiency with net profit continue to decline and the overall profit is not high. The average selling price of the late indica rice is higher than early indica rice, but it has a lower commodity rate than early indica rice.In terms of scale advantages, on the whole, the yield and acreage of rice industrial development in Guangxi decreased slowly, which Shows a strong spatial association overall scale comparative advantage among prefecture-level cities in Guangxi and the strong spatial association shows a trend of continued to strengthen in recent years. There form high gathering centers in Nanning, Qinzhou and Laibin, while a low gathering centers in Hechi, Baise and Chongzuo. However, Beihai City has been in the low spatial aggregation of high negative correlation state, and the spatial spillover effect and pulling effect of high gathering centers is not obvious.Policy recommendations.On the government side, to accelerate the full mechanization of rice, reduce production costs and improve efficiency of Indica rice. To improve the planting proportion scale of high quality rice in Yulin and Wuzhou, and then help to form the industrial growth pole. To construct a high-yield area of late indica rice, and improve the commodity rate. In the development of industry, to strengthen the support efforts of science and technology, and then substantially increase the yield per unit area and profit levels. To highlight the leading rice industries in southeastern Guangxi, improve the level of spatial interaction, and finally achieve economies of scale. To research and develop intensive processing technology, and then speed up the supply-side reforms to improve the marginal benefit. In terms of farmers, to participate in technology training actively and improve their own technological literacy. To join the local cooperatives actively, expand the scale advantages, and reduce the production risks.
