With the rapid globalization process, Jiangsu traditional manufacturing industries of export gradually appear problems like technical industry not strong or being "locked" on the low end of the global value chain. Based on the analysis of the existing literature on path,we propose a general path evolution model, and applying this model to the manufacturing export enterprises in Jiangsu Province.Through analysis of data 2001-2014, the level of servitizaton in manufacturing enterprises for export has been improved significantly. However, according to the service effect, the level of Jiangsu manufacturing servitization still has room to increase. We classified the export products in Jiangsu into 4 categories based on the combination of product complexity and market competitiveness: Category I strong market competitiveness but weak product complexity, Category II weak market competitiveness and weak product complexity, Category III weak market competitiveness but strong product complexity and Category IV strong market competitiveness and strong product complexity. Jiangsu export products mainly concentrated in Category I and II, Category III and IV are less. There exists 4 constraints for the development of service, they are low level of technology, regions develop uneven in export, market uncertainty and trade constraints, industry standard needs to be improved.According to the difference in classification above, this Paper analyzed products in four categories separately and put forward path selection and strategic analysis one by one. Category I based on product-oriented style service path, from R&D investment, market capacity and product capabilities three aspects for servitization, Category II based on the integration of industrial chain to expand services, from the establishment of enterprise system management and service support system, and technological innovation for servitization, Category III requires a combination of product-oriented style service and the integration of industrial chain to expand services based on its characteristic. Category IV is the ideal goal of this study, the main choice for deep servitization is based on the combination of the integration of industrial chain and user-oriented path to expand service. In the end, this paper put forward advice three angles from corporate, government and industry associations.
