Research On The Impact Of Manufacturing Servitization On Export Structure Of China's Manufacturing Industry

Manufacturing industry is the foundation and pillar of China's national economy and occupies a significant share in economic development.Since the reform and opening up,China's manufacturing industry has developed rapidly,becoming the "world factory".The total industrial output value has surpassed that of the United States in 2010.However,as the largest manufacturing country in the world,the overall strength of China's manufacturing industry is still far behind that of other developed countries in the world,which is mainly due to the low technological content and low added value of China's manufactured goods.With the coming of post-industrial era,the third industry achieves large development,knowledge economy and technology progress has gradually become the mainstream of the economic.China's traditional export trade pattern at the expense of the resource and environment is no longer adapt to the needs of economic long-term stable development.As the intermediate input in manufacturing,service factors bring the increasingly specialized human capital and technological capital into manufacturing industry and run through the whole production process,which plays an important role in enhancing the added value of manufactured goods and even optimizing the export structure.From the perspective of factor input,this paper analyzes the influence of manufacturing servitization on export structure of China's manufacturing industry.Based on the existing research,this paper separately defines and quantitfies manufacturing servitization and export structure,and analyzes China's present situation of them.Then it qualitatively analyzes the internal influence mechanism of manufacturing servitization on the export structure of China's manufactured goods,which is from four aspects of factor endowments,division of labor and specialization,technological progress,and global value chain.On the basis of this theory,using WIOD data and relevant statistical data in China from 2000 to 2014,this paper discusses the influence degree of the overall and partial manufacturing servitization on the proportion of export of manufactured goods with different technical level in China.The result shows that the manufacturing servitization helps to optimize the export structure of China's manufacturing industry,among which the optimization effect of transportation,storage and postal servitization,information transmission,software and technology servitization,financial servitization,rental and businessservitization is obvious.Therefore,this paper argues that we should strengthen the integration of the service industry into the manufacturing industry,vigorously develop producer services,especially these four types of producer services,improve the overall level of manufacturing servitization,so as to promote the optimization of export structure of China's manufacturing industry.
