A Study Of Tourist Resources Protection And Development In Ethnic Minority Areas

Jishishan Bonan Dongxiang Sala Minorities Autonomous County (hereafter this text will be abbreviated as Jishishan County) was named as the small Jishishan,Is the only one of the multi-ethnic autonomous counties in Gansu province. There are abundant tourism resources in Jishishan county, which contain natural ecological resources, unique national customs, cultural heritage and distinctive villages and towns. Both the natural and cultural resources are good for developing tourism in Jishishan county. Because the local tourism industry started late, many tourism resources have not been developed. At present, a part of them have been exploited, to a certain extent, it does promote the development of the local tourism in Jishishan county. While in the process of the development, there exist some problems. This paper aims to research the present situation, the opportunities, the challenges and existing problems in the process of tourism protection and development and seek the possible ways to promote the tourism industry by employing the theory of sustainable development.This paper consists of three parts:the introduction, the body part and the conclusion. The introduction narrates the purpose and significance of this research, the domestic studies and studies abroad, the relative theoretical basis, the research methods and the difficult and innovation points. The body part consists of four chapters. Chapter one mainly concentrates on the general situation in Jishishan county, introduces the geographical environment, ethnic composition, social and economic development, natural and cultural tourism resources, type of tourism products and the characteristics of tourism resources, namely, the diversity of types, immovability, the possibility of development and the unique ethnic customs. The following three chapters are the key parts. By the specific investigation and questionnaire survey and looking up documentation, this paper analyzes the policies, wanderlust, the current situation and opportunities of the surrounding tourism market, the traditional old ideas, and the challenges due to the lacking of overall planning, brand effects, infrastructure, product development and the talents, and the fierce competition of the surrounding tourism markets, fewer advertising and infrastructure in the process of development in Jishishan county. Meanwhile, this paper tends to analyze the reasons and introduce that it is time to change ideas, improve the overall plan, strengthen infrastructure construction so as to shape tourism brand, build tourism lines and give emphasis on tourism talents.
