Study On The Application Of The New Product Development Process On The Powertrain

With the customers’ needs change significantly faster, the research and development of new technology and new products become the main target of the enterprises, and its success will directly related to enterprise’s future.The research goal and content of this paper are proposed through researches on the process management at domestic and abroad to discuss the product development process management situation in the vehicle and engine industry. The value stream mapping method theory and methods of process management improvement are used in the description and analysis of existing workflow management technology. This paper points out the shortcomings and deficiencies of the present process. This is the key role to develop new process. The theory of business process reengineering is used through the powertrain development process reengineering research.This paper expounds the verification of the process through an actual product development project, and illustrates the application areas of the product development process management, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified. It is a good basis for process improvement and process reengineering work.
