Study On The Impact Of Knowledge Sharing And Fuzzy Front End Management On New Product Development Performance

Economic globalization has promoted technological progress and increased commercial competition. Innovation is the basis for long-term survival and long-term development and a steady stream of creative is an important guarantee for long-term competitive advantage for enterprise. Fuzzy Front End(FFE), as the initial stage of the new product development(NPD),is paid more and more attention by academia and industry, and also plays a decisive role to the ultimate success of NPD. How knowledge sharing and FFE elements affect and interaction, and what the impact and level of them on the NPD is a study full of academic value and implications for practice.In view of this, this thesis takes the relationship of the knowledge sharing, FFE, project implementation and NPD performance as the research theme, structuring the theoretical framework to empirically research by theoretical analysis and deduction. To begin with, this research describes abroad related literature of FFE, knowledge sharing, project implementation, NPD and the mutual relationship among each others by combing through the system, pointing out the shortcomings of previous literature. On this basis, this thesis constructs the theoretical model of knowledge sharing, FFE, project implementation and NPD performance and proposes a number of research hypotheses. Then, the empirical study employed a questionnaire approach to collect data, built structural equation model, verified the research hypotheses and tested the validity of the research model. In addition, combining theory with practice better, this study chose a NPD project of an enterprise from Hubei Province as an example, analyzing the management practice of FFE activities of NPD project and providing guidance for the front-end activities management of NPD of manufacturing enterprises from China.Finally, this study summaries the main conclusion from what has been discussed, on this basis, providing the theory enlightenment for operating and future research need in the area of knowledge sharing and FFE.
