The Research Into The Influence Of Desertification Land’s Sealing Protection On Farmers Sustainable Livelihood

Dunhuang is located in the western end of Hexi Corridor, Which nears the Kumt agh Desert,the ecological environment of which is fragile. To protect the local ecological environment is of great significance to safeguard the ecological security in the Hexi corridor. In recent years,affected by the natural environment and factors,the ecological problems of Dunhuang Area such as land desertification,shortage of water resources is increasingly serious, which have the adverse impact on the livelihood of farmers.As a result, Dunhuang and other five counties(cities) of decertified land launched the sealed conservation grant pilot program in July 2013,which aimed to explore new form of governance and experience on the basis of the existing anti-desertification.This paper based on the sustainable livelihood analys is framework, which combined with the actual situation in Dunham. It built sustainable livelihood from subsistence farmers indicator system capital, livelihood strategies, livelihoods environmental awareness, the village accessibility, ability to obtain information in f ive areas and then to evaluated the influence of the sealed conservation on farmers sustainable livelihood. The results shows as follow :First, the sealed conservation project has a positive effect on the establishment of sustainable livelihoods for farmers, although the livelihood capital, livelihood strategies and so on various indicators have different influence degree, yet the change of livelihood capital is most obvious.Second, livelihood capital is still the core of sustainable development of farmers living factors, the main way to build sustainable livelihoods is to promote the improvement of farmers’ livelihood capital.Third, the livelihood capital changes will encourage farmers to adjust their livelihood strategy and improve the cognitive level of environmental protection and promote livelihoods. It promotes the optimizat ion of the sealed conservation of farmers livelihood, which will create conditions for the establishment of farmers sustainable livelihoods.
