Study On Qingdao’s Coordination Development Between Economy And Human Settlement

Coordinated development of economy and human settlement is an important symbol to measure a regional economic development, social progress and cultural development, and it’s the guarantee to realize modern society’s sustainable development. Since China’s reform and opening up, the economy has developed rapidly, but at the same time, the human settlement and other social factors did not keep up with the pace of economic development and even has suffered threat and destruction. To pursue economic development, some cities ignore the construction of the human settlement, and some cities attache great importance to living environment but fails in developing economy. Therefore, there’s great significance for the sustainable development to analyze the comprehensive development of urban economy and human settlement, and the coordinated development between them.This paper is taking Qingdao as study area, firstly, analyzes the basic theory of coordination development, introduces and summarizes the basic concept of coordination. With these theories as the instruction, it constructs comprehensive evaluation index system of the economic development and human settlement, determines the index weight by using entropy method, and calculates comprehensive development index of economic development and human settlement. It shows that the comprehensive evaluation index of Qingdao’s economic development presents a trend of fluctuations in growth, and the human settlement index keeps rising steady, and the latter is higher than the former; the coordinated development degree between economic development and human settlement keep increasing during the study period, it explains the relationship between economy and human settlement improves constantly during this period; the coupling coordination degree between them increased and then decreased like U, and distributes in theⅠ, Ⅱ area in the coupling coordination degree model; it uses grey model to predict Qingdao’s economic development and human settlement from 2013 to 2020, the results shows that the economy and human settlement will keep improve constantly in the prediction interval, and the coordinated development degree and coupling coordination degree will also maintain steady growth, and by the year 2020, Qingdao will be able to enter a good coordinated development stage. At last, according to the Qingdao’s present situation and its own characteristics, the paper puts forward suggestions on the coordinated development of economic development and human settlement.
