An Empirical Study On The Coordinated Development Of The Economic And Ecological Environment In Hebei Province

The ecological environment is the space of human existence and activities, but also is the material base of human survival and development. Report to the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the mission to build an ecological civilization, and pointed out that it is an important part of a harmonious society to strengthen ecological environment construction. What the relationship in economic and ecological environment is, in a contradictory state or in harmony, what the future trend is? To correctly answer these questions, it needs take on the empirical research in the relationship of the economy and ecological environment and changes in trends.In this paper, Hebei Province and 11 districts are as researching subjects, in the use of the coordinated degree and the coordinated development degree, the factor analysis to research the situation in coordination between the economic and ecological environment. Resultes show that in recent years economic level in Hebei Province is overall strengthened, and the level of the ecological environment has been also gradually improved. But the coordinated degree and the coordinated development degree are still relatively low, the gap between the economy and the ecological environment is very great, the importance of the protection to the ecological environment must be strengthened, and the investment of the ecological environment needs to be futhur increased. Compared to the coordinated degree of 11 regions in Hebei, despite the overall level of coordination is increasing, but there is the expansion of inter-regional differences in trends across regions, and changes and the status of coordination in the coordinated development degree have great differences in regions. So we should take corresponding measures to improve the protection of ecological environment, and to narrow the gap between regions. On the overall to improve the coordinated degree and the coordinated development degree level, and to effortly coordinate the relationship of regional economic and ecological environment are the key to future economy and ecological enviroment construction in Hebei, it is also the key to Hebei's sustainable development.
