Under the background of economic globalization, the competition between enterprises becomes fiercer than ever in the past. Nowadays, theenterprise is hard to survive if they play alone in the market, they need to cooperate very closely upward with their customer and downward with their suppliers to establish a supply chain. Supplier, as the origin of enterprise resources, is one of the most important parts of the supply chain system, and it plays a critical role in production cost and company profits. Under this circumstance, to strengthen supplier management has becomes one of the most important contents of enterprise management.Based on supplier management theory, this research thoroughly and carefully studies the supplier management optimization of MC (Changzhou). MC (Changzhou) is the subsidiary of MC holding company who is the world leading manufacturer ofautomotive turbocharger components. In recent years, since MC (Changzhou) has been diversifying their products, the supplier management has also become more complex than ever before; however the current existing supplier management pattern did not adapt to this new requirement, so it now becomes urgent to find out a way to optimize the supplier management system.This research takes both theoreticand practical ways of study. First it identify out the issues that MC (Changzhou) has from prospective of supplier selection and evaluationetc.Then bearing above issues in mind, it gives the detailed optimization recommendation:at first place, it points out the foundation of supplier management optimization, namely supply chain mindset, win-win partnership and concept of supplier classification management; secondly it gives the specific optimization measures from dimesons of supplier qualification and development, supplier performance management,supplier risk management and supplier relationship management. Finally, it predicts the effectiveness of these optimization measure and brings out what need to be done to ensure the effectiveness.
