In the increasingly competitive market environment, the competition for talents is the key to business success. As a magic weapon to attract and retain talents, more and more enterprises pay attention to the work well-being, and researching its formation mechanism and promotion path deeply has an important and urgent practical significance.Based on the comprehensive review of domestic and foreign research on enterprise employee work well-being, and guided by the related theory of work well-being, the paper used the method of grounded theory to find five factors that affect employee work well-being, respectively as work characteristics, salary and welfare, interpersonal relationship, development prospects and institutional arrangements; two intermediary variables of self-efficacy and organizational identification were introduced, and constructed the conceptual model of the formation mechanism of enterprise employee work well-being. Through the questionnaire survey, 218 effective sample data were collected, and descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity analysis and structural equation analysis method were used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that five factors had the certain role in promoting work well-being, the effect of the interpersonal relationship and development prospects was of the most significant, and the mediating role of the two intermediary variables had been verified partially. On this basis, the paper analyzed how the five factors work for the enterprise employee work well-being, and combining with enterprise management theory, proposed the promotion path of the work well-being, which can be described as therational analysis and design of work characteristics, appropriate adjustments to the structure of salary and welfare, the construction of harmonious working relationship, focus on the personal development of employees, optimization of the enterprise’s institutional arrangement and so on.
