The Influence Of Price Fluctuation On Agri-food Chain Stability

In recent years, price fluctuation of produce caused periodic difficulty of selling, high retail price, and instability of the economy. Farmers, wholesalers, retailers and final consumers were damaged in frequent price fluctuation. With deeper research in rural area, agriculture and farmers, the using of supply chain thoughts and methods in agri-food chain area has important theoretic and practical significance.This thesis focuses on the agri-food chain consisted of producers and wholesalers, and then analyzes the influence of price fluctuation on stability of agri-food chain. First of all, the incidents of produce selling difficulty in the last ten years caused by price fluctuation have been analyzed with the second order clustering method, and then the different features of producers have been explored.Secondly, based on the sample data obtained by the field investigation, the effects of price volatility on produce wholesalers have been divided into negative and non-negative, and then the impacts of price changes on the agricultural wholesalers have been analyzed with the second order clustering method.Finally, in view of the different features of supply chain members, the agri-food chain under price volatility have been divided into four models, and then the stability strategies of agri-food chain have been analyzed and proposed.
