N company is a large domestic enterprise oriented to research, develop and produce some series namely building materials gears, general gears, varied high-speed, heavy-loading and precise gears and their attachments, which has grown into the agreed top company in Chinese gear-making industry after forty years’ development. N company has passed the accreditation of GJB9001A-2001and ISO9001:2008 International Quality Management System, ISO14001:2004 International Environment Management System and OHSA18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard. Although the company has made progress in its quality management system via conducting all kinds of quality management systems, there is no steady improvement in the level of quality management. It is based on this issue that this text explores the researches on the continuous improvements in N’s quality management.This thesis is based on the overall quality management theory, continuous improvement theory and relative quality control theory. First, according to the actual situation of enterprises, the quality management status of N company was analyzed and three main problems were found in its quality management practice:imperfect basic affairs in quality management, lack of quality management in procurement process and inadequate monitoring in production process. All of the causes of these quality problems have been analyzed. Next, in order to solve these problems, based on PDCA circulation and eight quality management principles of ISO9000 family, continuous improvement mechanism of quality management has been founded in these two typical process (procurement and production process) in N company. Last but not least, implementation strategy of N company’s continuous improvement of quality management has been proposed.
