The service of guides plays an important role in the development of tourism. The role of guides is even more critical in the booming of tourism industry in 21 century. They need to withstand the enormous pressure from all aspects in the tourist reception services due to its professional uniqueness, which inevitably causes the phenomenon of job burnout. This thesis tries to understand the current situation of guides? core self-evaluation, emotional intelligence and job burnout through questionnaire on the basis of the research of former scholars, and gradually exploring the relationship among them in order to provide the reference data for preventing and mitigating job burnout.This research takes the tour guides in Zhangjiajie as the object, and then it uses the method of core self-evaluation questionnaire, emotional intelligence questionnaire, and job burnout questionnaire. The way of online testing is taken to make questionnaire on 255 tour guides. Then the spss19.0 is utilized to count and analyze the data of questionnaire. This paper uses inspection and relative analysis of statistical processing methods, and the result shows the following conclusions:1. The guides have the problem of job burnout.2. There are significant differences among the core self-evaluation, the emotional intelligence and the job burnout in the relevant demographic variables.3. The core self-evaluation and the emotional intelligence are significant positive correlation.4. There is a palpable negative correlation between the core self-evaluation and the job burnout.5. The core self-evaluation plays a mediating effect between the emotional intelligence and the job burnout.Finally, some related suggestions are made:1. Guides need to learn to reasonably adjust themselves from the micro individual level. It is important to have a correct understanding of the career and the problem of job burnout. Guides should dare to face the job burnout, and establishing a thinking mode of solving problems when they encounter them. Ways should be actively sought to cope with their own situation, and taking action immediately.2. A good atmosphere should be established from the macro environment level. Travel agencies should implement humane-based management, then enriching training activities. More social concern should be given from governments at all levels and relevant administrative departments.
