Training Of New-type Farmers And Its Countermeasure Study In Kenli County

Nowadays, China has come into a period in which we nurturing agriculture by industry, developing rural areas by the supporting from urban areas and developing urban and rural areas as a whole. A great number of new type farmers equipped with culture, technology and method of business is in great need during the special development period. They key method for solving the three agriculture-related problems nowadays is to conducting new type farmer training, upgrading the scientific and cultural qualities and management skills of the farmers, as well as strengthening the inner impetus driving the farmer’s development and reformation. Taking this key method, Kenli County, one of the three counties of Dongying City, has conducted new type farmer training project since 2012 in accordance with the arrangement of Dongying City. Kenli County conducted a mass survey on the farmer’s training need, integrated the resources of agriculture-related departments and scientifically arranged the training courses, thus to guarantee the large-scale and systematic program of farmer training.The County has explored its successful method in dealing with the three agriculture-related issues and mass line education activity. Till the end of 2015, over4,500 training courses of different kinds have been held and 180,000 trainee have participated in the training courses, which have greatly updated the qualities and abilities of the farmers.Therefore, taking the training of new type farmers in Kenli County, Dongying City of Shandong Province as the study object, this essay analyzes and studies the organizing mode and main methods adopted in the new type farmer training done by Kenli County.Taking the theories of public goods, human capital and lifelong education, the essay conducted in-depth analysis on the circumstance, existing problems and their causes of new type farmer training. The countermeasures mainly covers perfecting supporting policy, improving training mechanism, giving priority to faculty construction, enhancing daily training management, exploring popular and training mode and promoting knowledge application, etc.
