| Coal mine employees is a special professional community in China. Their work environment and work activity has a strong specificity, and they have to face much greater pressure than the other sectors. Related studies show that the coal mine employees’ mental health standard is worse than normal people. Many factors affect the employees’ mental health, in addition to the personal factors, traditional environmental factors and work factors,there also concerned with the social network status, good social support network conditions can reduce the pressure on coal mine employees, keep a good mood and hold the normal operation of everyday life. The study based on the realistic background to expand the influence on the mental health of mine employees from the social network perspective.First, on the basis of reading a lot relevant literature at home and abroad, this paper reviewed the predecessors’ achievement of the respect in social networks and mental health,and found out that the social network perspective research very little, so determined the research goals; Second, using the related survey data of "mine employees questionnaire" to do a thorough analysis of mine employees social support network characteristics and mental health; Last, using multiple linear regression analysis to explore the effects of coal mining employees’ mental health from social support networks. The study found the following:(1) In coal mine employees social support network features, network size is 4.15,colleague and friend occupying larger proportion in relationship types, network homophily of gender is high, network heterogeneity of gender is low, homophily and heterogeneity of age and educational level is not clear, the relationship tie strength of social support network is relative higher;(2) The network size social support network characteristics has an important positive influence on employee life satisfaction, and a significant negative influence on employee depression. The larger the network size, the higher the level of mental health. The frequency factor of tie strength has an important negative impact on employee life satisfaction, and has apositive effect on employee depression. The depth factor of tie strength affecting the life satisfaction and depression was not significant. These show that the higher the frequency of employees to communicate with members of the network, the more mental health standard.(3) In the impact of coal mine employees’ life satisfaction and depression, the income of staff have a substitution influence on network size and frequency factor of tie strength. These illustrate that income have a certain impact on the coal mine employees’ social support networks.In short, this paper conducted empirical research on the basis of theory, thorough analysis the situation of coal mine employees mental health and social support networks,investigate that the social support network play an important role in coal mine employees’ mental health, and put forward related policy recommendations to improve the mental health of coal mine employees. |
