| As one of the main contents of spatial and economic geography, regional economic disparity and polarization has become a hot topic in the domestic and international academic circles.The southern slope of Tianshan economic belt is one of the potential advantage and key development zone following the northern slope of Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang.The southern slope of Tianshan economic belt is located in the Tianshan Mountains,the scope includes a total of 16 counties in Akesu, Bazhou, and 2 cities in the city,and it plays an important role in the southern region and the Xinjiang economic and social development.On the basis of summarizing the results of previous studies,selecting Cui Wang index, coefficient of variation to assess the degree of economic polarization,Global and local spatial autocorrelation analysis based on ESDA,Under the support of GIS software and GeoDA spatial statistics software,Using the southern slope of Tianshan economic belt from 1990 to 2013 a total of 23 years of GDP, GDP per capita and population data,Making an empirical analysis of the southern slope of Tianshan Mountain, regional economic disparities and economic polarization spatial evolution characteristics.The first chapter of this paper describes the research background and significance,research contents and objectives,summarized the research results about the regional economic polarization, in the domestic and foreign research progress of regional economic polarization was carried out; In the second chapter, the related concepts are expounded;The third chapter describes the research methods, technical route and research area;The fourth chapter has carried out an empirical analysis about the spatial pattern of regional economic disparities and economic polarization in the southern slope of Tianshan Mountains from 1990 to 2013;The fifth chapter is the countermeasure of the southern slope of Tianshan economic belt of the coordinated development of regional economy;The sixth chapter is the conclusion and discussion.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The southern slope of Tianshan economic belt economy degree of polarization is increasing,Korla city is the economic development of the economic zone in the southern slope of the Tianshan Mountains growth pole,and This polarization effect is constantly enhanced.(2) The variation coefficient of GDP was greater than the per capita variation coefficient of GDP in the southern slope of the Tianshan economic belt,explaining that the polarization of economic aggregate is greater than the per capita economic aggregate.(3) The southern slope of Tianshan economic belt counties GDP absolute difference is growing during the time 1990-2013. Standard deviation from 0.0555 in 1990 rose to the highest value of 0.1161 in 2011,and the standard deviation is small,and increased,the level of economic development economic zone in the southern slope of Tianshan space absolute difference shows an increasing trend during the time 1990-2013.(4) The variation trend of Theil coefficient and GDP weighted coefficient of variation in 1990-2013 is roughly the same between the years,On the whole,presenting a wave of change,and it’s up. Explaining that the difference of economic development level between different regions becoming larger in this period of time.(5) The southern slope of Tianshan economic belt’s per capita GDP and GDP Moran’s I has the opposite trend,That is,the per capita Moran’s of I GDP,In addition to four years(1994, 1995, 1996, 1997) were negatively correlated,Other years were positively correlated.From the local spatial autocorrelation of GDP and GDP per capita two indicators,the southern slope of Tianshan economic belt’s hot spot of economic development area mainly concentrated in the Korla city,which is the center of Luntai County, Hejing county and Yanqi County.
