As one important part of human resource management practice, the role performance management played in the organization should not be underestimated. Since the reform and opening up of China, the number of private enterprises has been increasing, and human resources management practice has been arising the attention of Chinese private enterprises’ leaders. However, how to effectively assess the performance of the workers, then according to the assessment results give them reward, in order to mobilize their enthusiasm and initiative, and ultimately achieve the strategic objectives of the organization, while performance management will play a key role in this process.Regarding the TMC company as the object of the research, this paper will study the current situation and existing and potential problems of the company’s performance appraisal system, then design the KPI system based on the prior performance management system, in order to provide reference for the performance management of TMC and others, and also to provide a set of practical ideas for human resource management practitioners.This paper is divided into five parts, while the first part is about the introduction of research background, significance, research methods and research status at home and abroad; the second part is the analysis of TMC’s performance management status; the third part is about the discussion of the relevant factors which are important for future development of the company, combined with the performance management status and strategic objectives of the enterprise, the enterprise-level KPI system for enterprise-level indicators is established and progressively establish departments KPI, then the weight is given and the right standards of indicators are formed, in order to establish a more scientific, comprehensive and effective performance appraisal system; the fourth part is about the safeguards that make TMC company performance appraisal system implemented smoothly; the last part is about the commissioning and comparison the KPI performance appraisal system, reflecting the effect of performance evaluation index optimization.
