In this article, We firstly study on the connotation, characteristics and flexible index of production system of the engineering machinery enterprise flexibility. Referring to the flexible 3D degree and the related scholars’ classification method, and the characteristics of construction machinery enterprises to establish a flexible index system of production system. Then, establish a flexible evaluation model of the production system based on the 3D vector model for construction machinery enterprises. In this model, it should determine the index weight by using the improved grey relational analysis method at first, then calculate the index value by the formula and obtain the flexible value of each index. Finally, through the 3D vector mode, we can calculate the total flexible value of the production system. By dividing the flexible value interval, we can judge the overall flexible level of the production system. After constructing the flexible evaluation model of production system, taking A company of the construction machinery enterprise as an example to analyze the flexible production system.Through the evaluation model of production system flexibility, we can not only gain the flexibility value of each index of production system, to determine the impact of specific factors to the flexibility, but also can calculate flexible vector modulus and judge that where the flexible interval is and determine the level of flexibility of production system. By calculating and analyzing the flexible level of production system in different periods, we can judge and study the change of enterprise production system flexibility, and provide the basic information for enterprises to improve production system flexibility.In order to improve the flexibility of the production system of construction machinery enterprises, this article studies from four aspects: equipment layout, production planning, equipment and personnel. The results of this article have a certain reference value for the measurement and evaluation of the flexible level of the engineering machinery enterprise production system and the improvement of the flexibility of production system.
