High development pace of science and technology leads to productivity goingforward. As various products diversify, more and more customized demand comesinto being, life cycle and the handover lead time of the products become shorter andshorter as well, while the production batch which customers request goes smaller andsmaller, which is worth making a deep think for those enterprises used to going in fortraditional mass production and scale economy. As a result, some kind of productionmode with unique qualities, such as multi-variety, small batch, low cost and shorterlead time, is absolutely needed.Cell production is a new mode which is popularly studied and tried. It has suchgood advantages like shorter lead time, lower cost, and less equipment investment,and higher flexibility, which can be adapted to multi-variety and small batchproduction.In the background of the stamping and washing workshop of S manufacturer,based on its current production status, this thesis will focus on study andreconstruction with cell production.Firstly, the origin and development of cell production, as well as classificationmode and its own characteristics, including advantages and disadvantages, isintroduced in the thesis. Meanwhile, it has compared the stream line production withcell production, then analyzed the limitation and application scope of cell production.Secondly, we proceeded reconstruction with cell production for stamping andwashing workshop of S manufacturer according to its actual manufacturing situation,then detailed methods and steps to proceed cell production, even relevant aidedregulation, have been shown in the thesis. By means of cell production, S companygreatly reduced labor force, lowered down production cost and inventory, shortenedproduction life cycle and the handover lead time, improved production flexibility, sothat Manufacturer S could be flexible to meet the demand of multi-variety and smallbatch production, timely satisfied the customers and sensitively respond to changeablemarket.Thirdly, evaluation system for cell production is built on by taking advantage ofbasic principle of QFD.Finally, this thesis summarizes the research process and its significance, and thenstudy the outlook for the prospective further research in the future.
