The rapid development of internet information technology has made it to be the simplest and most influential way of global information communication. The emergences of various social media make the communication more convenient. The development of social media creates diverse interaction with users and drives the transformation of marketing approaches. More and more enterprises focus on taking advantage of social media to enhance the interaction with consumers. Successful marketing cannot do without the full development and application of social media. Therefore, how to use effective social media strategies for marketing and improve its competitiveness has become an important factor that should be considered during the development of enterprise.The paper takes the social media marketing of Xiamen EK Company as an object of study, analyzes the current marketing situation. The current marketing strategies have many disadvantages, such as neglecting interaction with customers; one-way marketing, which doesn’t accommodate the marketing environment. Based on the study of marketing theories and EK Company’s current operating conditions, the article is aimed to explore the application of social media marketing in the company via analyses of the theoretical knowledge, analysis of the company and SWOT method. The research put forwards some advises for the enterprise to set up a social media marketing system to increase interaction with its customers and enhance brand value. The discussion carries out from several aspects: selection of social media platform, content marketing of social media, evaluation and supporting measures for the implement of social media strategies.Social media marketing is a long complex procedure, which also changes as the development of internet technology. A lot of companies are still on the early-stage exploration. The paper takes Xiamen EK Company as an example, via the study of its social media strategies, attempts to provide reference about practical social media strategies for similar enterprises.
