A Study On Integration Transportation Strategy Of Metropolitan Area

With the speeding urbanization of town, the highly developmental region named metropolitan area on basis of big cities is formed step by step in our country. Metropolitan area is now playing an increasingly important role at the background of globalization. Transportation is the crucial regional infrastructure of metropolitan area, and becomes the carrier of cities in metropolitan area as well. As a result, the metropolitan area’s orderly expansion and combination is greatly dependent on its transportation.Transportations of metropolitan area in our country have their own characteristics and developmental rules. Thus, how to realize the integration of the transportation in metropolitan area has already attracted concerns from scholars and practitioners at home and abroad. Therefore, it is absolutely significant to conduct research on this topic, which is also desiderate to be solved through the planning and construction of metropolitan area as well as academic research.Based on collecting and sorting domestic and international typical research data, this thesis aims to provide beneficial reference for transportation planning and construction of metropolitan area in china, by distilling useful factors, making comparisons and analyzing the formation, development and evolving rules of metropolitan area abroad, and by combining the transportation situation of metropolitan area in china.Starting with the comprehensive transportation strategy research, this thesis lays special stress on the factors that related with the sustaining development of comprehensive transportation system. The predominant public transportation strategy referring to the fast mass transit, large-capacity public transport and other ways of transportation has been put forward in this thesis, which has also proposed the goals and strategies for integrated metropolitan transportation from a macroscopic, overall, systematic, forward-looking, long-term perspective.Focusing on the study of metropolitan area comprehensive transportation hub, this thesis brings forward an efficient transportation joint system to establish the integrating, humanistic, fluent and information-based transportation space.Stressed on metropolitan area transportation system and mechanism research and combined with domestic and international productions, this thesis also points out the direction of transportation system and the mechanism at construction, operation, harmonious management and development.
