Intermediate and high energy heavy ions collisions has become an important subject in physics study since 1970's,which can not only provide the fragmentation mechanism of heavy ion at intermediate and high energies, the information about the behavior of liquid-gas phase transition, but also provide the information to refine the models of the origination and propagation of galactic cosmic-ray,radiation protection, medical therapy and cancer treatment. The total charge-changing cross-sections,the partial cross-sections for projectile fragment production, scattering angle of beam particle and emission angles of projectile fragments in fragmentation of 12C on Pb target at the highest beam energy of 290 A MeV are studied in present investigation. It is found that the total charge-changing cross-sections is the same as the other experimental results at nearly the same beam energy and the prediction of Bradt-Peter semi-empirical formula within the experimental errors, and it decreases with the increase of beam energy. The mean emission angle of projectile fragments is greater than the mean scattering angle of beam particles, and the distribution range of emission angle of projectile fragments is broadened comparing to the scattering angle distribution of beam particles.
