Experimental investigation of nucleus-nucleus at intermediateand high energies has been an important subject in nuclear physics, which not only can provides the important information for nuclearstructure and the mechanism of nuclear reaction, refine thetheoretical model of nuclear reactions mechanism and theorigination and propagation of galactic cosmic-rays; but also providethe experimental evidence for estimating the radiation does receivedby cosmonaut during space station and heavy ions medical therapyand cancer treatment. The total charge-changing cross-section and the partialcross-sections for projectile fragment production in800A MeV28Siinduced C target is investigated using the CR-39solid etched nucleartrack detector. It is found that the total charge-changingcross-section is consistent with other experimental results at closeenergies and the predictions of Bradt-Peters semi-classical formula and the NUCFRG2model, within experimental error. The partialcross-sections of projectile fragment production and consistent withother experiment results and shows an obvious odd-even effect.
