Status Discussion On The Technical Rationality Under The Background Of Perspective Of Ecological Civilization

At the time of industrial civilization, human beings, relying on technical rationality, had hugely improved their ability in understanding and renewing the nature, which made their dominant role much more outstanding than ever before. Because of technical rationality, the productivity was reformed and developed, material wealth and spiritual wealth were created, which was much more than the total amount made in the past. Additionally, a rational system, with technical rationality as its core, related to politics, culture, economics and society was set up, where people had their own responsibilities. Under such background, human beings could say that they had reached the culture peak. However, at the later period of industrial civilization, humans encountered different kinds of problems. Since then, humans begun to think about what's happened, by which they had a deep analysis and criticism on technical rationality. Humans thought that all the problems were resulted in by dissimilation on position of technical rationality, for which sustainable strategy was proposed.Ecological civilization, derived from industrial civilization, is a kind of civilization which is higher than industrial civilization, which sublated the deflects and inherited the virtues of industrial civilization. That is to say ecological civilization did not abandon the useful things owned by industrial civilization. Pursuant to Marx's view-- new stuff always kept the useful elements possessed by old stuff, technical rationality vividly reflects this view. Although ecological civilization developed the virtues and sublated the deflects of industrial civilization, it does not mean that ecological civilization will reject technical rationality. On the contrary, ecological civilization will require technical rationality to accept the new requirements and restrictions, making technical civilization can back to its original position. In this way, the problems in survival and development encountered by human beings will be solved.At the time of industrial civilization, the problems between mankind and nature, mankind and society, mankind and mankind can be considered as problems related to thought. Technical rationality thoughts were used to guide people's understanding and practice. In this case, people's dominant role was strengthened but technical rationality thought became more and more dominant. At last, the dissimilation on position of technical rationality made people were controlled and ruled by it. Therefore, at the time of ecological civilization, how should technical rationality be used? This is what is to be mainly talked about in this thesis.This thesis was mainly divided into three sections. First section is about the definition, feature and meaningfulness of ecological civilization, by which the reader can understand what's ecological civilization, what is the feature of ecological civilization and the what is the meaningfulness on China's development by ecological civilization; the concept of technical rationality is described in a detailed way so that essence of technical rationality can be clearly understood; after that, function of technical rationality is described, as well as the reasonability of its existence, by which readers can recognize that there is a close relationship between ecological civilization and technical rationality. Thus, keynote in the view of ideology was set up for this thesis.Second section introduces the difficulties encountered by technical rationality at the time of industrial civilization and the reasons of the difficulties. This section mainly focuses on the relation between industrial civilization and technical rationality-- technical rationality was controlled and dominated at first, then technical rationality is dominating people live at the time of industrial civilization, by which readers could know that there was a dissimilation(the dissimilaiton was between people and nature, people and society, as well as the dissimilation of people) on the position of technical rationality; after that, the reasons of dissimilation of technical rationality are analyzed.The third section proposes the writer's own suggestions and views by referring to some documents and files, as well as the writer's understanding on the relationship between ecological civilization and technical rationality. First, the writer describes the importance of ecological civilization to technical rationality. Second, under the frame of ecological civilization, introduce the transcendence on technical rationality-- firstly, transcendence in cognitive style; secondly, transcendence in system; thirdly, transcendence in culture. Then, this paper shall discuss what kind of position the technical rationality should stay under the background of ecological civilization. For this issue, first of all, technical rationality shall stick to the ideology of natural existence and natural order; second, technical rationality shall be restricted to requirements of ecological survival; third, technical rationality shall take ethics principles as its foundation for practice, so as to constitute a reasonable position of technical rationality under the background of ecological civilization.
