Geoheritage is not only part of the historical and natural heritage,which has high value of research and culture learning,but also has great tourism value.It will be helpful for protecting and developing the natural heritage to construct geoparks.Qinghai Lake National Geopark,located in the northeast of Qinghai Province,contains Er'lang'jian Subpark,Bird Island(Niao'Dao)Subpark?Fairy Bay(Xian'nv'wan)Subpark and Sand Island(Sha'Dao)Subpark.Its special geological structure,location,ecological environment and climate lead to a construction integrated with lakes,rivers,wetlands and deserts.There are lots of geological heritages,morphologic landscapes,beautiful natural serenity,special ethnic cultures,abundant touristic resources,which all enable it to be a natural museum to popularize geological knowledge.Due to their different causes of formation,the geoheritage sights are classified into 7 different types.They are lakes landscape,river landscape,spring landscape,lakes landforms,desert landforms,alpine meadows geomorphology and geological structure.Almost all of the geoheritage types' causes of formation are analyzed in brief.In evaluating geological heritages,the monomers or types of geological heritage resources are taken as the objects of evaluation,the value of resource factor and the external factors of resources are chosen as the layer of comprehensive evaluation of the geological heritage resources,and the value of resource,the characteristics of resource,the influence on resources and the environmental factors are selected as the project of evaluation.In the project of evaluation,13 evaluation factors are determined through refinement.Then the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method is employed to evaluate the value of geological heritage resources.The results have led the authors to reach the conclusion that Qinghai Lake National Geopark includes a world-class geological heritage,2 Global geological heritages,17 national geological heritages,15 provincial geological heritages.The results obtained by the authors can help understand the geological heritage resources in Qinghai Lake national geological park,and can also provide basis for the protection,development and utilization of geological heritages as well as the planning and management of the geopark.With abundance of other historical heritage sights,Qinghai Lake Geopark becomes a good comprehensive geopark.Based on the resoults of qualitative and quantitative evaluation,development ways of Qinghai Lake Geopark are proposed.The development mode contains methods such as divide the park into areas with different typical sights,build more service constructions,do more scientific research and develop an information system,and so on.
