Implementation Of GPS/GIS Integrated System Based On Mobile Terminal

In recent years,with the rapid development of the science and technology and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard,embedded GPS systems are getting more and more used.However,there are many GPS systems based on the embedded system,a GPS / GIS integration system for a particular mobile embedded platform is very necessary to study.With this background,this study proposes a GPS / GIS integrated system based on mobile terminal.In terms of hardware,the ARM Cortex ?-A8 kernel AM3354 was used as the system’s embedded processor.The system uses the 4GB eMMC FLASH memory and 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM as internal memory.The hardware platform offer Ethernet,USB,USART,JTAG and LCD of rich peripheral interfaces.Based on this mobile platform,the Linux system is transplanted and the related driver is designed.Linux 3.8 kernel has been used for the system transplant,which is advanced and efficiently used.And to realize the compilation and transplantation of the kernel.U-boot transplant was performed before kernel transplantation,and the root file system was ported after kernel transplantation.The development of application software use the QGIS software which based on Qt.With the used of QGIS,it can developed a practical and elegant GUI.Meanwhile,the QGIS can be used to achieve the GPS/GIS navigation function and other corresponding functions on the hardware platform.By means of the transplant and develop of the system on target mobile terminal,is greatly enhance the availability of the target mobile terminal.Which can make the follow-up develop and further research on the existing platform.As the system transplantation has deeply combined with existing hardware,the personalization and practicality of the system has been greatly improved.Therefore,the integrated system of GPS and GIS based on mobile terminal has a great application value and development prospects.
