Power servo turret is of the main component of the CNC lathe and milling complex machining center, and its dynamic performance directly influence the manufacturing performance and efficiency of the machine tool, manifest the core level of the design and manufacturing technology of CNC machine tool. Also, the structural parameters of cutter and translocation system accuracy have a great influence on the performance of the turret, so it is important to research on them.Firstly, I literatured a lot of papers and books about power servo tool and translocation system and summarized the main contents of this paper. This paper is study on a power servo turret of Shenyang Machine Tool Corporation Limit. Firstly, with the aim of minimum quality cutter as the optimization object, established the optimization function, set the constraint functions, and made the structure data optimization. Using MATLAB optimization toolbox, solved the objective function with the sequential quadratic programming algorithm and completed the structure data optimization. Then, I used the software of finite element analysis ANSYS Workbench to make static characteristics analysis, modal analysis and harmonic response analysis to the optimized cutter. The results show that:the optimized cutter has a good static performance and dynamic performance.The entire translocation process of turret is completed by translocation system and three chain ring institutions. To the study on chainring, I established an accurate chainring model and IT4,IT55,IT6 pitch error models, and made contact analysis on them. With the results, we can analysis the influence that the pitch error made on the positioning accuracy. To some extent, the research have a guiding significance for processing chainring. Transmission accuracy of the translocation system will make a difference on the life of the turret. So, in this paper I made a research on both translocation system and three chain ring institutions. To the study on translocation system, firstly, I used 3D modeling software Pro/E to make parametric model of the gears of the translocation system. And then, I made a global interference check to the assembly modeling. It proved that the model was accurate. Then, I imported the model into ADAMS, set constraints and loads, picked the impact parameters, added contact forces, and established a virtual prototype model. I used three kinds of motor drive mode to simulate the system, got the angular acceleration, angular velocity and the rotation curve of the large gear. All of the rotations of the large gear are very close to the theoretical rotation, and all the results meet the position accuracy requirements. The results proved that the translocation system virtual prototype is some accurate. Besides, the second S-curve is a better motor-driven acceleration curve, which would reduce the drive vibration and friction.
