In order to study on the dynamic characteristics of drum shearer, this paper, according to MG400/930-WD type drum shearer for a production company, furtherly research the shearer drum motion, force and vibration based on summarizing the previous studies for mining on motor mechanics. This paper firstly introduces kinematic analysis of walking mechanism of drum shearer, cutting drum, and the loading process, and researches the movement characteristics. Thinking of the case of dip angle and pitching angle, the paper accomplish mechanics analysis of shearer drum machine, walking mechanism and the level of each branch of specific theoretical calculation are conducted by external load. Then the paper carry on shearer structure and stress to the reasonable simplification and hypothesis, establishes the dynamic model of shearer drum in the vertical direction vibration, and by using Lagrange's equation to get the mathematical model. After that using the dynamic system state space analysis, the paper makes drum shearer vibration of second order differential equation into a first-order differential equation, and has carried on the solution. Last, Drum shearer vibration is simulated based on Matlab simulation, dynamic response characteristics are obtained. Analyses the stiffness, damping and mass, roller angular velocity and the main influence parameters such as external load effects on drum shearer mechanical behavior, and get the specific measures to reduce the vibration of shearer drum.
