PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) is mainly used as middle laminated glass membrane, and is widely used in automobile windshield, construction glass, etc. On the background of the PVB resin technical innovation project of the Jiangxi** Synthetic Material Co., LTD, PVB synthesis process was determined by the experiment of each influence factors, water washing process of the original process was carried on technological improvement, and a new process was designed for increasing the PVB resin production capacity, at the same time temperature programmed control design was applied to synthesis section.In taking synthetic optimization experiments, a series of condition experiments were did, such as the PVB synthesis reaction time, stirring speed, reaction temperature, concentration of PVA, and the dosage of the acid, butyl aldehyde and sodium dodecyl sulfate, and at last the better PVB synthetic process design parameters were acquired.In the renovation design of the original PVB water washing process, the paper put forward that the intermittent water scrubber was firstly adopted to improve the washing new process. The simulated experiment of water scrubber was carried on, and the process design parameters of water scrubber were collected, and machinery and equipment design was conducted. Based on the self-designed water scrubber, the new technological process of the intermittent water scrubber was designed. Compared with the original washing process, the washing time of a batch of PVB crude filter cake was not only reduced from 4 hours to 1 hour, but also the two-third amount of the waste water discharge and the deionized water consumption would reduced, and the amount of the deionized water saving and the reduction of waste water discharge can reach to 110400 tons per year.On increasing production capacity design of 4000 tons per year PVB resin synthesis workshop, the precipitation synthesis process was adopted and the experimental data were collected from the synthetic optimization experiment was used to calculate the material balance and energy balance, the standard equipment and a series of nonstandard equipment were chosen by the calculation of heat and mass transfer. And then according to the relevant design standard and process flow diagram that were finished, plane and elevation layout and general layout were drawn. At synthesis process stage, temperature programmed control process was designed to ensure the stability of the quality of PVB. And extraction distillation technology was adopted to recycle n-butylaldehyde. The n-butyl aldehyde could be recycled 224.3 tons per year, and raw material costs could be saved 2.7 million Yuan per year, and the pollution of the environment was reduced. After economic estimate, the company would get larger profit. At the same time, the detailed introduction of environmental protection and safety production was also provided.The paper work has good practical significance in building a new PVB production project of the company, and the technical effect is significant. The improved PVB washing new process has a certain engineering application value to related enterprises.
